The Books of Time series was created in 1997 as an homage to my father who passed away in 1996. He was an electrician and shortly after he died I noticed a series of ledger books (from the 1970’s) with the names and hours of his employees. These books eventually morphed into six books titled: Lamb, Prayer, Innards, Flowers, Birds and Lust. In 2007 they were purchased by the Detroit Institute of Arts. In 2008 - 2014 the remaining ledger pages became part of another series title, The Book of Innocence inspired by William Blake’s Song of Innocence.
